Pregnancy brings about beautiful changes in the body to prepare mama for birth. Birth requires a combination of strength and softening .Understanding the balance of these two energies will not only provide a safe space in asana, but assist in your birth experience as well. This workshop is intended to empower perinatal mamas with the following information:
Learn about common physiological and anatomical changes that occur during pregnancy
Understand the anatomy and functions of the pelvic floor and deep core musculature
Learn healthy and safe movement strategies to carry through your asana practice to minimize the risk of Diastasis Recti and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction.

Healthy Movement in Asana - Shoulders & Neck

- Understand the mechanism and anatomy of shoulder pain and neck pain.
- The anatomy of shoulder impingement, rotator cuff tears SLAP repair, disc herniation/slipped disks and degenerative disc disease and radiculopathy will be discussed
- Incorporate safe and therapeutic movement strategies to support these injuries and minimize their progression.
